The annual was started and is still hosted by the Sierra Nevada Brewing company. This brewery was one of the first outstanding  and notable microbreweries in the country. This festival is a one day event held traditional late in August every year.

There are over 35 breweries in attendance with an abundance of variety in what is available. Everyone gets a free souvenir tasting mug and a tasting guide to see all of the breweries. The popular Cold Shot Band will be the musical entertainment again this year with their groove music and dance hits.

The food is terrific as well with Mexican entrees and sausages complimenting the inevitable BBQ. The Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley, CA is the setting and is absolutely beautiful for a beer festival.
