The Qingdao International Beer Festival in China is a 2 week event in the middle of August and is billed as the best of China’s beer drinking culture. There aere many brands of Chinese,. European and North American beers featured at the festival.

There are tons of entertainment from music to beautiful dance and play performances plus the opportunity to perform Karayoke in front of thousands of spectators and festival goers. There is also a beer drinking competition with how fast someone can down a bottle of beer, and usually the women win.

The festival opens what is dubbed the beer city in an opening ceremony and the beer tasting lasts from there for 16 days with the finale closing ceremony called the Carnival of Gluttony. This is a  festival in honor of the nectar of the gods, beer.
