The Hops in Humbolt annual beer festival is held in Fortuna CA in late August and is a on day (Saturday) event. This beer festival is a 1 day event in Northern California and features local breweries like Six Rivers, Lost Coast, Eel River, Mad River along with about 25 other local as well as Northern and southern California breweries.

In addition to this there are local homebrewers who bring their beers for tasting which is a special treat to see the advances of the homebrewing community. Normally admission is $25 and you get $5 for advanced ticket purchasing.

There is something for everyone at this festival including eclectic music, local arts and crafts are featured and great food in a nice open setting under the hot August sun. Beer is served from noon – 5pm. The proceeds of this festival will go toward scholarships and charity projects which are selected by the Rotary club of Fortuna.
