In Vail Colorado every year in the beginning of January, right in the middle of ski season is the Big Beers, Belgians & Barleywines Festival a salute to high octane beers. This is a two day event and features some terrific big beers.

This event includes a homebrew competition as well as a brewmasters’ dinner which features some big beers and the food best paired with them. There will be an international collection of  big beers to be had with lots of craft brews from the US as well as Belgians and European entries as well.

The beer tasting sessions begin on Saturday at 2pm at the Manor Vail Lodge & Conference Center. And will showcase over 125 different big beers from around the world.
