| The International Berlin Beer Festival is perhaps the largest beer festival in the world. Started in 1997 this massive festival boasts of having beers from 240 different breweries with 1,750 brands of beer served from over 80 different countries. This festival’s record attendance over a mere 3 day period is 750,000 beer enthusiasts and party goers.
They have 2.2km of beer stations that they call the beer mile and is dubbed “longest beer garden of the world” which starts from Frankfurter Tor to Strausberger Platz stretching along Karl-Marx-Allee in Berlin Friedrichshain. A mile of beer stations is almost hard to fathom.
Food at the festival is almost as diverse as the amount of beer served with cultural and culinary specialties from 20 different beer regions. There are also 18 stages where they have live music and admission to this extraordinary event is free!
This is alike a massive folk festival on an international stage in a world class city – Berlin. Families and people of all ages are encouraged to attend.
