Every year in Atlanta, GA the Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting is hosted by the Sweetwater Brewing Company. This is a very small and limited event which is put on by only one person who only holds the festival to help educate the public on cask conditioned ales. The event proceeds goes to benefit for the Atlanta Georgia Humane Society.

The festival is a one day event in late January which is sold out every year, attendance is limited to 250 persons only. The festival showcases 15 different cask conditioned ales and a s free sampling of each. There will be live music including traditional Celtic music plus food and all those great beers.

Cask conditioned ale is young ale and is served unpasturized and without excess carbonation. Typically this beer is served at several degrees below room temperature but not as cold as your regular refrigerated beers. This festival’s participants will also take home a souvenir Pint.
